My mission is to help you heal. I'm an energy in tuned being who thrives on listening to what the body needs. In my 20 years of experience, I’ve refined my practice by combining many massage modalities to provide clients a phenomenal, personalized experience. My ability to be in-tune with what is felt physically and emotionally sets me apart from the rest.
I believe in the power of massage as a tool to help us heal — inside and out. Whether it’s stress, illness or simply to pamper yourself, the benefits of massage can be life changing. It is my highest honor to hold and create the much-needed space to help you on your journey of recovery, healing, growth, and repair.
Clients often ask, what kind of massage do you offer?
Most people are familiar with the common massage modalities such as Swedish massage, trigger-point, deep tissue or sports massage. In my practice, I incorporate these modalities — and may also add treatments such as acupressure, hot towels, aromatherapy, and sound — combined with an emotional openness with my clients that clears the path for somatic release. My style is uniquely mine, hence, it’s Modali.
Our bodies are effective communicators when something is “out of whack” or overcompensating, but the body alone doesn’t tell the full story. The mind has incredible control over the body and our emotional state plays a powerful role in our body’s ability to recover. Alleviating knots may provide temporary relief (or no relief at all) when our bodies are harboring forms of negative energy such as stress, anxiety, depression, or trauma. These negative emotions can put your muscles in defensive mode, preventing your body from healing.
Conversely, when we are vulnerable, and comfortable in that vulnerability, the nervous system relaxes and the real healing can begin. This is the mission of Modali Care.
Yoga and meditation practices have increased awareness of the power of breath work, otherwise known as somatic breathing, or Somatic Breath-work Healing (SBH). Somatic breathing calms our nervous system, engages our conscious mind, and releases tension.
Somatic release through massage can feel even more powerful. Our minds and bodies can hold onto incredible amounts of energy and trauma. Through holding patterns, breath work, and intent, we can move that energy out. It’s different for everyone and you won’t really understand it until you experience it. But I promise you, it’s worth it.
You’re worth it.
